The Hawley Silk Mill begins 2010 with a new roof under construction. The new structure maintains the same historic lines as the old roof and was necessary to ensure the preservation of the building. In addition to the new roof, plans include new infrastructure and systems such as a new electrical service and building wiring, HVAC systems, wastewater piping, plumbing, sprinkler and fire protection systems, alarm systems, and high speed broadband data connection to the building. The building will offer state of the art systems within a one of a kind historic structure destined to become the most prestigious business location in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
